VIKYNO Company – abbreviation of letters “Vietnam - Engineering – Agricultural Machinery”, established in 1967. The main function is the exclusive importer of agricultural machines with KUBOTA brand from Japan. In 1969, the factory was constructed, located at the Tam Hiep junction, at Bien Hoa Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province.
After the liberation of April 30th,1975 factory became State-owned company. In 1995, the factory was renamed the Southern Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd (VIKYNO), with main function is to manufacture engines and agricultural machinery.
On the 5th November, 2008, the Minister of Trade and Industry issued a Decision No. 5906/QĐ-BTC on the merger of Southern Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd and Vietnam Engine Manufacturing Co., Ltd to Southern Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd (SVEAM).
After 45 years of development and growth, with the incessant efforts of employees, SVEAM Company has overcome all challenges, from a factory specializing in the assembly of engines and agricultural machinery according to KUBOTA design, SVEAM has become one of the leading enterprises of mechanical engineering and agricultural machinery in Vietnam. With 12 major products groups, including more than 100 kinds of products, occupied about 25% of the domestic market shares and exported to over 25 countries in most continents of the world.
To achieve the development and growth, in the past, SVEAM has invested strongly in R&D, continuous improvement and development of new products, study and application of science and technology into production. Every year, on average SVEAM studied design from 2 to 4 new products to put into mass production and consumption on the domestic market and export. From where to self-produce all of the spare parts, annual production of only a few hundred products, now, every year company has provided about 60,000 engines, more than 2,500 power tillers, combine harvesters and over 30,000 sets of agricultural machines.
Beside the outstanding achievements in production and business activities, in recent years, company is always interested in the program "Gratitude" and "Charitable activities by the specific jobs such as: Taking care of heroic Vietnamese Mothers, contributing "Gratitude" fund, poverty-alleviation movement, building houses of gratitude, organizing many trips to diagnose, treat disease and deliver medicine without charge, presenting gifts to farmers and indigent people, supporting orphaned and handicap children schools, supporting money for natural disasters...
To continue the encouragement and recognition of outstanding achievements in the past, the President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam has signed the decision on the award of “Third-class Independence Medal” for SVEAM. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Van Vu – General Director was honored to receive “the 2nd class Labor Medal”, Mr. Nguyen Tan Phat – Deputy General Director was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Ta Vu Uyen – Director of Dang Khanh Distributor was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit granted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry owing to outstanding achievements in the sales of products to serve the industrialization of rural areas, contributing to the construction and development of industry and trade of Vietnam. At the same time, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry has awarded a medal “For development of Industry and Trade of Vietnam” to Mr. Lalinda Wasantha Kumara Jawana Baduge – The Chairman of Hikarie International (PVT) Ltd, Sri Lanka and Mr. Benjamin Chew – Director of Luben Tech PTE Ltd, Singapore for achievements and contribute to development of Industry and Trade of Vietnam. Moreover, a number of individuals were awarded merits from the Chairman of People’s Committee of Dong Nai province.
